I have been a proud member of the NTEU for over 30 years and a Branch Committee member and Case Committee member since October 2021. I am also Co-Chair of the Business School Campaign Committee designed to coordinate action in support of our important log of claims.

Having given much of my working life to a public institution I know that universities can and should be exemplars in terms of respecting workers’ rights and improving standards of employment. I understand issues that professional staff in particular feel strongly about including job security, a fair pay deal, transparent recruitment practices and a meaningful PP&D process. I want to be representative across all parts of the Union and to foster a Union that can have constructive policy influence on University management.

I am a Project Manager in the Business School and have worked closely in support of academics, including in a research capacity. I believe I can bring a wide-ranging perspective to the NTEU Branch Committee and see our Union as a way to help foster a better workplace for all.
